For 71 years, the Urbino Kite Festival has celebrated one of the city's best-loved traditions. For four days, kites from all over the world, historic competitions between the contrade (city districts), workshops, shows and activities for all ages turn Urbino into a place of encounter, colour and creativity.

An event with deep cultural roots, one that even inspired the poet Giovanni Pascoli, who dedicated a poem to it.
